BECOMING CATHOLIC

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the process through which individuals learn about the Catholic faith and prepare to become fully initiated members of the Church. Through prayer, study, and participation in parish life, participants grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and deepen their understanding of Catholic teachings. This journey culminates in the celebration of the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and the Holy Eucharist. Through these sacraments, they are welcomed into full communion with the Catholic Church and called to live as faithful disciples of Christ.

OCIA INFORMATION

OCIA is a process for adults who are discerning the Catholic faith. It is intended for those who have never been baptized, those who were baptized in another Christian tradition, or adult Catholics who have not yet received First Communion or Confirmation. This journey involves prayer, reflection, and learning, offering a space to continually discern God’s will in our lives.

Weekly classes are typically held on Sunday mornings from September through April.
