CHURCH REGULATIONS REGARDING
FAST & ABSTINENCE
Abstinence from meat (beast or fowl) is to be observed by all Catholics 14 years old and older on Ash Wednesday and on all the Fridays of Lent. This obligation prohibits eating of meat, but not eggs, milk products, or condiments of any kind, even though made from animal fat.
Fasting means limiting oneself to one full meal on given fast days. Catholics who are 18 years of age but not yet 59 are obliged to fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. On fast days, two additional smaller meals are permitted if necessary to maintain strength. However the two smaller meals together may not equal one full meal. Moreover, eating solid foods between meals on fast days is not permitted.

K C FISH FRY’S The first K.C. Fish Fry is Friday, March 7th at Holy Trinity 5-7pm dine in or carry out. Cost is $12 for adults & $8 for children 11 and under. K C FISH FRY’S El primer K.C. Fish Fry es el viernes 7 de marzo en Holy Trinity de 5 a 7 p.m. para cenar o llevar. El costo es de $12 para adultos y $8 para niños menores de 11 años. NEWS FROM THE COR GROUP The COR group met on February 23, with 11 men. The topic was Prayer and the Catholic Man's response to it. After a short video, discussion followed about the many aspects of Prayer and how it enriches the life of men. A big thank you to all the men who came to pray for each other, for the Church and for the spiritual needs of the community.
NOTICIAS DEL GRUPO COR El grupo COR se reunió el 23 de febrero con 11 hombres. El tema fue la oración y la respuesta del hombre católico a ella. NEW LENTEN CLASS COMING! Starting Monday, March 10, we will be studying the Ten Commandments, as they are explained by our Catholic Catechism. We will meet in the Holy Trinity Church Hall from 6-8 PM. A light meal will be provided before. March 10: The First Three Commandments- Duty of God. If you cannot make one or more of the classes, don't worry, each class is distinct and can be done separately. This will be a great way to use Lent as a way to strengthen our faith formation and to get to know our fellow parishioners better. ¡SE ACERCA UNA NUEVA CLASE DE CUARESMA! A partir del lunes 10 de marzo, estudiaremos los Diez Mandamientos, tal como son explicados por nuestro Catecismo Católico.
